Samuel's Graduation was absent
the large-scale fanfare of a stadium ceremony,
thousands of red-gowned seniors flooding the campus,
and long speeches by famous and not-too-famous people
trying to inspire this next out-of-the-nest group of young adults
instead, it was largely nuclear -
highly familiar points
(a to b to c to d to e and back again)
radiating out from my childhood home near campus
it was at the pace of those quarantining together
with a lovely social-distanced porch visit
with my parents to help celebrate
this very wonderful young man
we love him soooooooooooo much!
