Christmas at the SuperG

my island-hopping parents (and by that i mean oak island, nc, & jekyll island, ga) came for a christmassy visit this past weekend. we are always so happy to see them (and to have them actually in the same state every so often!) ~

both boys recently had their holiday band concerts & were well-prepared to entertain their grandparents!

for dinner, we took everyone to the Vietnamese cafe at SuperG - both of which i highly recommend (except for the incredibly violent action movie that was playing the entire time we were there. the sound effects were particularly disturbing. when we asked if the channel could be changed, sadly, no, it was the only dvd they had.) ~ nonetheless, Joseph has requested to go back for their green sugarcane bubbletea....

you know it's good when....

their completely made fresh right now while you wait
spring rolls....simply delicious!

various good luck bling for all of your wish-making needs...

or you could go this route...

before they departed over the river & through the woods
(which is, actually, fairly accurate), Mom tried out our piano with some Christmas carols while Dad sang the tunes.
(growing up, i was lucky enough to get to fall asleep each night
to the sound of my mother playing the piano.)
i love you, Mom & Dad
