our niece Elizabeth got married this month,

so we all spiffed up & went to the wedding!

The Fox

 it was raining,

so the fox that remains

in my parents' backyard

took refuge

on their front porch

looking to see who is coming out the front door

it really wanted to go back to sleep,

but it did pose nicely for me -

then it curled back up and closed its eyes.

it's not my birthday

without a trip to the State Fair!

Part 8: Quiet Morning & Home

bon voyage at

le pain quotidien

last bowl of coffee

last Central Park framing

a quick block of fifth avenue,

which must be posh

but was not on my radar

my sweet godmother picked us up

& drove us to New Jersey

for our flight home

a most-excellent adventure

to start the second half of my possible century of living

you never know.

Part 7: The HighLine, The Vessel, The NightLights

Mom and I walked the entire Highline, south to north

 cars, cars, cars

eventually, i had to keep walking

the Vessel,

which i had heard of & seen photos of

from other friends

but which was not my destination

however, at the end of the Highline,

there it was

floor-to-ceiling

since we had walked so far already,
we just kept on

refueling with more new york cheesecake
