art raleigh

another picture-heavy art post, this time mainly of an exhibition at the NCMA in Raleigh of sketches and drawings from the Minneapolis Museum of Art.  plus a few NCMA pieces thrown in that caught my eye.

they currently have a Childe Hassam exhibit.  no photos allowed, so these two are from the wall right before you enter.  not so much my cup-of-tea as the colors run to pastels.  but the technique and detail are astounding!

Klimt still reigns in my book,
but Schiele is quite appealing.
