today i am enjoying the second day of my spring break. i enjoyed the first day of my spring break about two weeks ago. that one was a bit more exciting, since it was a Friday, Valentine's Day, and the aftermath of the great blizzard of '14. but, now, i am over it. the early dismissal yesterday was kind of fun, but this? this ice pellet snow? and all i can come up with to do today are our taxes and some paperwork for my job. which, at least, might preserve a future sunny weekend day as a surrogate spring break day. sigh.

my flowers are all icy.
back to a state of hibernation,
somewhat like myself.
despite my grumpiness,
i've kept the birdfeeder full.
it has been grand central station this morning.

i picked every single daffodil from our yard yesterday afternoon
& brought them inside.
now i guess i'll go do our taxes.
sigh.
