y su guitarra

a quick visit at 1810 on our way to see Alejandro Escovedo downtown!
the boys got time with my parents, & we got to hear some great music.
Joseph & his new ipod touch
Grandpa demonstrates old-school (with his pocket calendar)
Alejandro Escovedo & The Sensitive Boys
were playing as headliners for Raleigh's Artsplosure,
which i haven't attended for at least twenty years.
insects on a building
insects in the park
knitting bombed chicken feet.  bawk!bawk!bawk!
never ate here; just know the name.
guess they closed up their old location
right after Christmas.
 new location,
just around the corner.
all spiffy & sterile.

really, there's something for everyone.
my favorite is the first.
awwwww.
 some good options here, too.
well, except the third one,
which i left in for perspective.

~ we were definitely not disappointed by the band ~
& were on the front row (por supuesto)

a sample (video below)
the strangest thing
was turning around at the end of the concert
and seeing someone i went to high school with.
it was quite disconcerting.
in an okay sort of way.
