it was concert time around our house this past week ~ high school band on Tuesday; middle school band on Thursday. the last-minute searches for formal wear that hasn't made an appearance since the spring yielded adequate results, thank goodness. the tying of ties, the buttoning of collars and cuffs, the slightly late arrivals to band rooms. par for the course. both boys' concerts were lovely and well-played. and everyone ended the evening with a smile.
