like i said,
Neomonde is just up the street
from the Arboretum.
we took full advantage :)
they have a zingy cilantro hummus on the menu these days, plus long-time favorites (slurp!)
Joseph and the Piano have a magnetic relationship these days.
(he is busy practicing some pieces for an upcoming piano camp)
he continuously attempts to get me to try these pieces.
thank goodness Nana is up for the challenge!
a little piano clip
looking at their busy calendar, trying to plan our next visit!
Joseph and i were able to see my Aunt Lucinda,
who lives in an assisted living facility nearby.
Dad, Joseph, and i popped in on the History Museum
(and only briefly survived the Science Museum,
which was inundated with summer camp groups)
i enjoy a fried egg every so often, myself.
Mom sent us off with a gardenia, which i eventually gifted to our waitress at lunch
sports hall of fame
downtown Raleigh has changed,
just like a lot of downtowns.
we ate at a restaurant called The Raleigh Times.
bet only a few people in the place
(like myself)
remember when it was an actual newspaper.
Joseph, looking grand
big city scene
we made a quick visit to Mom,
who was volunteering at her church.
the church is working on a large mural,
which will be installed in the sanctuary soon.
~ sweet, short visit ~
i always love
Raleigh.
