if you love Egyptian art & history,
you'll want to start on this floor of the museum...
for me, i was running out of steam
& my camera was running out of battery!
(which was fine, as this is not one of my fascinations...)
though it is interesting!
this is considered a flabby torso?!? hmmm....
then, again, lifespan was pretty rough
compared to these days.
then we collected our coats & headed out
for a walk towards the East River!
Brooklyn Heights Promenade is an excellent destination
should you find yourself on the east side of the East River...
just look at the view!!!
you look across at Manhattan!...what a skyline!
& there's the Manhattan Bridge...
& here we are
Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO)
we really had no idea where to go
in Brooklyn...
& it was dark and cold...
we ended up at a pizza joint
(great pizza / lousy atmosphere)
& passed this gas station Santa set-up...
but no Santa tonight!
we soon took the subway back under the river
& scurried back to our warm little spot
ah, we're home!
...only two days left in New York...
