we took a quick jaunt to Charlotte in December
to hear Sierra Ferrell at the Neighborhood Theatre
(we had tried to see her this past summer

we explored NoDa on foot
& especially liked walking around the nearby neighborhood
of renovated Craftsman-style houses <3
(below is not a picture of that but of a random Xmas wreath)
one of the wrong long-term reasons to get a tattoo
we ate dinner at a well-recommended restaurant
(The Crepe Cellar)
that was, actually, transitioning its menu
from French to Italian after the new year
(glad to catch it while the food was still French - yum!)
***this was, I think, only the second time
we ate INSIDE during 2021***
no wallflowers are we!
our perch was right in front of the stage
with all the other hip young things...
like Sierra Ferrell
early on, Sierra earned her keep (or at least a few bucks)
busking on the streets of New Orleans and Nashville.
~ she enjoys costumes & fancy hair ~
but, more importantly,
she is insanely talented!!!
